The Limit Free Life Vision Method™: Turn Your Vision Into a Roadmap

For years, I’ve been studying goal setting. I love setting intentions and creating rituals and structure around the process. But, it’s deflating to get excited about an intentionally crafted future just to see its execution fizzle. That’s something I see often, particularly with money goals. How can we prevent that?

I’ve created planning courses with this issue in mind and revamped goal setting with an emphasis on how you want to feel (which has more power to pull you forward). Former business accelerator partner, Lorenda Phillips and I, created metrics and quarterly review groups to help people stay on plan – maybe the problem could be solved by keeping attention on the plan and analyzing progress?

People think they know what they want but after the initial effort to ideate and articulate goals, they go to a shelf and are ignored. Do they matter enough? Are they the right goals?

Inspired by an AI assisted vision crafting workshop I attended recently, I created something new and exciting and I’d love to offer it to you to try out and use for yourself.

Over the years, I’ve found that most unmet goals suffered from a lack of clarity. An unclear or inauthentic vision typically fails to serve as a useful roadmap.

Even “discipline” problems are solved by clearly knowing where you want to go and developing a strategy to get there. It’s defining what you want in actionable ways that anchors everything, and a brief statement or cursory thought process won’t give you the specifics you need to understand the details of what you want.

When I say, know “the details of what you want,” that is very different than knowing HOW you will get what you want. That part you actually don’t have to know. It can be figured out. It can be challenging to set up a vision of what you want, when you don’t have the slightest idea how to realize that vision, and that’s really the game.

Tying yourself down to things you know how to do, will limit your vision in a way that is far less compelling, and consequently may get shelved. A vision is exactly that, something you see in your mind’s eye, that you believe is attainable, but having never been there before, you can’t know what to expect when taking this unknown path ahead. You do know that it will likely be uncomfortable at times, but you feel it’s worth it.

The other thing that confuses people, is that there really are few boundaries between your professional life and your personal life. Your energy cannot be compartmentalized, so what is happening in your personal life leaks into your business life and vice versa. So, if you have a vision personally, it’s important that your business vision allows your personal vision to also be realized, and doesn’t create blocks to achieving it. Both should align to flourish. When setting goals, we should set them for all areas of life.

With respect to financial goals, they are often set without ever defining the life those numbers are meant to support.

So the numbers end up feeling:

•Disconnected

•Hopeful but not real

•or quietly stressful

Because underneath it, the real questions haven’t been answered:

•How do I actually want to live?

•How do I want to spend my time?

•What really matters to me?

When those specific, authentic goals are unclear, money decisions will always feel a little off or less motivating.

But when they become clear…
everything starts to line up, energetically you can feel the alignment.

I created a tool to help with this. It’s a simple but powerful process that connects:
your life → your time → your money

So your financial goals actually reflect the life you want to live (because you now know what that is).

If you go through it, I’d really love to hear what stands out to you, what shifts, or what could make this process even better.

I’m continuing to refine this—and your feedback genuinely helps to shape it’s development.
